Asian Billionaires is a mockumentary created by Annette Lee about a billionaire family in Singapore navigating their rich people problems; complete with all their comedic antics and adventures they go on. The first season of 5 episodes premieres on Annette’s Youtube weekly in Mar 2022.
Gurmit Singh as Paul Swee
He’s the head of the Swee household, and Owner-CEO of Singapore’s largest road engineering company. Despite being a billionaire, he is a frugal man who gets a thrill from saving a few bucks by not ordering drinks at restaurants. While he can be socially unaware and tactless at times, Paul has a kind and irreverent charm, and loves cracking a good ol’ Dad joke.
Amy Cheng as Elizabeth Swee
She is Paul’s prim, proper, and well-spoken wife. They married early and she had both her kids, Max and Victoria, by 26 (that close age gap with the children convinces her that she is a “fun mum”). Elizabeth enjoys collecting luxury shoes, buying new plants for her garden and is the one who keeps the house in order.
Annette Lee as Victoria Swee
She is an ambitious and hardworking Gen-Z student, who recently became a Dean’s Lister after completing her first year in Business University - she believes in accomplishing goals without relying on her family’s wealth. Shrewd and perceptive, Victoria maintains a sweet public persona, but speaks her mind freely in the presence of her family. But while she is sharp-tongued and sometimes (a lot of times, actually) obnoxious, Victoria is fiercely loyal to her family.
Benjamin kheng as Maximillian swee
He’s Victoria’s older brother though people often mistake him for being the younger child as he is rather immature. He is a fresh University graduate who still gets a comfortable monthly allowance from his father. He doesn’t intend to look for a job because, in his words, “why get a job when you don’t have to?” But despite being spoilt lazy and useless by his family, Max is far from snobbish. His carefree and fun-loving nature makes him the life of the party everywhere he goes.
Paw Diaz as Yana Maria Del Rosario
She’s the domestic helper of the Swees and has lived with the family for over 20 years since Max was a baby. Boisterous and jovial, Yana is always ready to count her blessings. She is especially grateful that Paul and Elizabeth always gives a big bonus at the end of the year to compensate for the fact that the house is bigger than that of her other domestic helper friends. All in all, Yana is a no-nonense street-wise mother figure to Max and Victoria, while loving them as if they were her own children.
