ANNETTE LEE’S DEBUT MOVIE CASTING CALL
Annette is making her directorial debut — and she would love you guys to be part of her very first movie!
Short Synopsis: Despite his disapproval, a university graduate takes over her father’s hawker business to fulfil her dreams of becoming a chef.
ABOUT THE ROLES
She is casting for several key and supporting roles in 4 different categories:
1. Adult Female
Screen Age: 23-28 // Fluent in English and Singlish, minimal proficiency in Mandarin // Some acting experience preferred
2. Adult Male
Screen Age: 23-28 // Fluent in English and Singlish, minimal proficiency in Mandarin // Some acting experience preferred
3. Young Girl
Ethnicity: Chinese // Screen Age: 10-12 // Fluent in English, Singlish and Mandarin // No acting experience required
4. Young Boy
Ethnicity: Chinese // Screen Age: 15-16 // Fluent in Mandarin and Singlish, minimal proficiency in English // No acting experience required

Note:
(A) Applicants must be residents of Singapore
(B) Passport eligible to enter Malaysia
(C) Available for the entire production period, tentatively set for October 2025
(D) Shortlisted applicants will be notified by 20 June and invited for a 23 June physical audition.
About the Director
With a strong passion for storytelling, Annette studied filmmaking in NTU’s School of Art, Design & Media, where she wrote and directed several award-winning short films that have been screened at various film festivals.
One of her student short films, Graduation, represented Singapore at the Hongkong International Mobile Film Awards, and won Best Art Direction at the Singapore Short Film Awards. It also earned a Best Screenplay nomination at the National Youth Film Awards, while her thesis film, Keep Mum, earned her a Best Director nomination.
Annette has since created viral comedy videos on social media, as well as various webseries, such as the heartwarming comedy series Asian Billionaires which she wrote, directed and starred in. She also co-created the unique comedy music video series called The Ann & Ben show, best known for 这个那个 (The Cai Fan Song)
With her debut film Dream Stall, Annette hopes to tell an authentic story about the modern Singaporean dream.
