NEWS PLANNETTE is a satirical news parody series hosted by the blur and camera-shy Clariso Tong (Played by Annette Lee), where she interviews people from all walks of life on current affairs topics. Written with Annette’s trademark humour, each episode will feature iconic characters that you are bound to find familiar from your everyday life. Clariso Tong joined News Plannette as an intern. A camera-shy 19-year-old, she is made to double up as a reporter on her first day of work by the show's producers, who are desperate to revive the show's ratings with younger viewers. Eager to pass her internship, she agrees, to hilarious results.
Irene Tan Kuiren is your classic neighbourhood boomer. Adept at complaining about anything under the sun, she has fought her way and climbed to the top of her social circle, presiding as admin over 35 whatsapp groups aka the queen of fake news.
