highlight of my recent trip to tokyo - attending a kintsugi class!🌝 • for those of you who don’t know, kintsugi is the japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. what has always fascinated me about this artform is its parallel to our humanity, because -admit it or not- we‘re all broken too. whether it’s hard times that have knocked us over, or people who have bruised and shattered us with their words and actions - none of us have made it through life unscathed. but if we choose not to grow bitter and instead, like kintsugi, allow ourselves to be healed with the gold of gratitude and forgiveness, we’ll often find that we come out so much stronger and so much more beautiful than beforeπŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’ͺ🏻❀️✨
